On.Energy is seeking a Project Developer to support the development of energy projects in North America either at our US Headquarters office in Miami, FL or Houston. This positions shall have development responsibility that includes site identification/screening/control, local approvals, permitting, interconnection through project notice to process (NTP). The ideal candidate shall have proven development experience in energy storage and/or renewables power projects with strong project management skills to manager teams, schedules, and budgets; technical background and understanding of energy storage; ability to identify, mitigate, and solve problems; good business acumen and negotiator; excellent written and verbal communication skills; bias for action, collaborative, and works well in a team environment.

• Overall development responsibilities for all activities required to take a project from site control to NTP

• Identification of potential development sites

• Screening and selection of development sites

• Control of development sites

• All permitting activities

• All local approvals

• Interconnection.

• Establish major equipment and EPC contracts for assigned development projects

• Managing 3rd party support

• Creating and management of the development schedule and budget

• Preparing the development risk matrix and developing the appropriate risk mitigation plans

• Lead the negotiation and contracting for construction, engineering or other services required for project

• Contract closeout

• Develop strong relationships with existing suppliers and develop new suppliers

• Development reporting to management and client

Requirements

• BS Engineering from an accredited University

• Fluent in english preferred. Bilinqual English/Spanish desireable

• Can-do attitude

• Strong communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and follow through

• Position can be either on-site in the Corporate headquarters in Miami, FL or Houston

• Ability to travel extensively to project sites, customer offices, Corporate headquarters, or vendor/contractor office locations

• Proficient with all MS Office products

• Professional demeaner and the ability to work in a team and collaborative environment

• Experienced in every phase of project development including site identification/screening/control, permitting, local approvals, and interconnections

• Minimum >5-years energy project development experience

• Experience with permitting local approval and interconnection processes

• Proven project management skills

• Strong focus and understanding of risk management

• Experience leading multi discipline organization
